Dr. Altai, a New Jersey ophthalmologist and native of Iraq, has spoken at Kean University and St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Montclair. He will discuss questions about the war and its medical consequences . . . particularly as a result of the U.S. and U.K. military’s use of Depleted Uranium (DU) weapons.

The exhibit, "Children of the Gulf War," is a series of photographs by Takeshi Morizumi of Hiroshima, Japan, a researcher who visited Iraq six times before the recent war.

Sponsored by the Union County Peace and Social Action Committee, Concerned Citizens of Springfield, PO Box 402, Springfield, NJ 07081, and Reverent Kathryn Avery, 973-376-1695.
