WHO WE ARE

We are a diverse coalition of people from all walks of life - mothers, blue collar workers, professionals, and students who oppose the US government's pursuit of endless war, no matter how it's defined.  We organize local activities and participate in regional and national demonstrations against war, to promote peace in our society.  We believe that action is the necessary conclusion for a people sick of apathy. Contact to be added to our announcements email list.

Meeting of the Coalition Media Committee

We are reorganizing and reinvigorating our Media Committee and invite anyone to attend who is interested in working on media reform and media democracy. Our committee will continue to bring our opposition to the war in Iraq and US foreign policy and attacks on civil liberties into the mainstream media and explore alternative sources of media outreach.

This Sunday, our committee is planning to meet with members of the former Media Corps from the Kerry campaign. This is not an endorsement of the Kerry campaign or the Democratic Party or their program. The impetus for this meeting is to share ideas on media activism. The Coalition Media Committee will continue to meet independently to plan Coalition projects and to further our Coalition goals.

Location to be announced. If you are interested in attending, please email

Get on board the Peace Train this Saturday, December 4th! (download flyer)
Over 1,200 US troops have been killed in Iraq to date, and reliable estimates are that over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed. The American people and the world were deceived into a war that has now turned into a quagmire with no end in sight. Itís time to demand an end to this immoral result of the Bush Administrationís policy of unilateral, pre-emptive strikes. Itís time to say: ďBring the troops home now.Ē
