Perspectives on the US Occupation of Iraq: Sunday, April 27, 4 pm, Labor Ed Center, New Brunswick Featuring presentations by: The discussion will include an audience participation segment where we encourage each and all to present their views on the current situation in Iraq. We also encourage all who want to to bring written statements of their organizations or as an individual with an opinion to distribute at this event. With the invasion of Iraq, what are the goals and demands of the US antiwar movement? What political challenges are posed to opponents of US military occupation of Iraq? What is involved in the current attempt by US military forces to intervene and direct the internal politics of Iraq? Why have US military forces in northern Iraq been directed to prevent the establishment of a Kurdish republic? To what degree will "humanitarian aid" be used by occupation forces to coerce the Iraqi population into submission? Should antiwar activists advocate the return of the UN and sanctions to Iraq?
